Cabrita Gravel is a self-supported bicycle event in Fuerteventura, in single stage, on a gravel bicycle without any external support.

CABRITA GRAVEL IS NOT A RACE

There will be no classification on arrival of the participants , no prize for the fastest rider but the joy of being FINISHER along with smiles, beer for everybody. 

A list of the Finishers with personal time will be published on our website at the end of the event.

The clock never stops from the start and riders manage their own route passing through 3 mandatory check points in self supported way.

During the preliminary checks, each participant will receive a brevet card. The cyclist must personally show the brevet card and have it registered at each official checkpoint, in order to communicate the cyclist’s position and passage time in real time. The loss of the brevet card or an incomplete or irregular control visa will result in the non-approval of the patent. In any case, for the purposes of homologation as Finisher, the delivery of the control card certifying the passage through all defined control posts is required.

No external support. All food, drink and equipment must be carried or acquired at commercially available services. 

Participants who decide to abandon the event will have to communicate it to the organization.

In the spirit of Cabrita Gravel, participants are allowed to draft each other and cycle in small groups to enjoy the ride and share the experience.

All participants must be of legal age on the day of the event (18 years old).

The participants accept, comply with and comply with the provisions of the event regulation comply with and respect all the rules dictated by the road code in force in Spain, as the roads are not manned by the organization but are free to traffic for the various users (pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, etc.).

  • In order to participate in Cabrita Gravel it is mandatory to have an individual accident insurance covering medical expenses in the country of residence and abroad.

    The insurance must cover RC, accidental, emergency rescue, death and repatriation.

    Each participant must provide the insurance to complete the registration. 

    Without insurance it is forbidden to participate at the event.

    In order to complete the registration, the participating cyclist must accept and sign the Declaration of Awarness of Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability including:

    • acknowledge and acknowledge that no contractual or non-contractual liability can be recognized by the organization of Cabrita Gravel for pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages suffered by the cyclist or caused by the cyclist to third parties; 
    • release and hold harmless the organization of Cabrita Gravel  and its supervisors and collaborators from any liability for any damage and/or injury and/or loss suffered by the cyclist or his vehicle or equipment, whatever the cause; 
    • release and hold harmless the organization of Cabrita Gravel and  its presuppositions and collaborators from any liability and charges including any legal fees, for any damage and/or loss and/or damage and/or injury suffered by third parties and/or their property due to the cyclist conduct.

    It is expressly indicated in the Declaration of Awarness of Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability  that the cyclist participating in Cabrita Gravel is aware and agrees to:

    • be in free personal excursion on the route indicated in GPS tracks; 
    • fully assume the risks for his personal safety and for others, including: minimal rest, night driving, weather conditions that could be difficult (sun, wind, rain,  lightning, cold, night, dark, fog, tornadoes, etc.), the road conditions with sections on dirt roads, sections with instability of the asphalt surface, sections with the presence of heavy vehicular traffic (pedestrians, motorbikes, cars, articulated cars, buses, etc. ..); 
    • risks due to the presence of unattended and/or wild animals. 
    • risks in finding water, food and refuge areas;
    • risks due to: physical and mental tiredness, orientation,     malaise, and accidents in places where medical assistance could be difficult in time to avoid physical damage, even fatal; – that the event in which he participates is a test of extreme resistance to be faced with caution;
    • that the organizating company of Cabrita Gravel is exempt from the obligation of permanent and/or current control of the route; 
    • that the event is a non-competitive test of endurance and considerable psychophysical commitment, even extreme and without rankings;
    • to face the demanding sections of the route with the utmost caution, without creating dangers for oneself or for others; 
    • that at the time of the event he is in excellent physical and mental condition and that he is not subject to any contraindication impeding the performance of Cabrita Gravel in total  safety as regards his body and mind.

The participating cyclist undertakes to have carefully read and evaluated and to accept these Regulations in all its parts, none excluded.
The participating cyclist declares, as well as for his/her and/or assignees, to relieve the Cabrita Gravel Organization and its collaborators or/and employees, as well as their heirs and/or assignees from any liability for injury, death and/or any pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage (also caused to third
parties), which may arise to his/her person on the occasion and because of the activity carried out.
The participant declares that he/she fully understands and shares the purposes of these rules established the Regulations for his/her own personal safety and health and that non-compliance with the rules can place himself/herself and other cyclists and third parties in a situation of danger.
The participant declares to have carefully read and evaluated the contents of this Regulation document and to have clearly understood the meaning of each single article and point
mentioned.

The participating cyclist consents to the use, in the ways permitted by law, also for profit, of each of his video or photographic images taken during the days of the event, providing the Cabrita Gravel Organization with the right to transfer these images to third parties.
The aforementioned authorization to use one’s own image must be understood as given for an indefinite period and without territorial limits, for use in various publications and films, including, by way of example but not limited to, promotional and/or advertising materials made on all the supports.
The Organizing Company may also transfer any of its video or photographic images taken during the days of the event to third parties and to its institutional and commercial partners.

By signing the declaration of awareness of risk assumption and release of liability, the participant declares to have read the privacy policy pursuant to European Regulation 679/2016 and expresses informed consent to the use, by the organizer and his partners, of their personal data for the purposes of compliance with administrative and accounting obligations and organizational needs, relating to the management of registrations, the formation of the final list of participants with distance data and promotional initiatives connected to the event.

The participant also expresses his informed consent to the use of his name and image for promotional and non-promotional purposes of the event, including publication on Internet sites, social networks, etc.
