After leaving the village of Cotillo you follow a mixed sand and gravel track along the north coast of the island towards Corralejo, where you enter a fast gravel section in the charming area of the volcanoes.
After a short descent, you reach the village of Jablito, take the dirt track along the east coast of the island, pass through Puerto del Rosario, the island’s capital, and continue towards Las Salinas, where a beautiful and challenging series of ups and downs begins, leading to the fishing village of Pozo Negro.
Once you reach CP1 in Valles de Ortega, you follow a stunning red dirt road that crosses the center of the island, leading into the Jandía Natural Park where you will traverse the magnificent Sotavento beach. From there, along a bike path, you arrive at the town of Morro Jable, marking the start of a breathtaking 30 km dirt track that leads to the top of the climb towards Cofete beach and then to CP2 at the Jandía lighthouse.
From CP2 the route will begin heading north passing through the village of La Pared, the wind park in Cardon and the climb to the Mirador Risco de la Penas where CP3 is located.
